This video is a watershed event. We see emotion, perhaps for the first time ever on film, from alleged gang members as they mourn a friend. This is evident throughout the video but undoubtedly evidenced at the noted 2:00 mark. The American public had never seen these types of feelings from this sector of society before. What is also important to note is that this may also be the first time we see the tender after-effects of a lowrider show. Lowrider enthusiasts had previously been seen as audacious as their over-the-top flaunting of their vehicles' hydraulics could have been interpreted as a type of sexual boasting or physical warning to competitors. However, we see in 'Gangsta Lean' that coordinated displays of modified suspension systems may also be used in touching tribute to a fallen 'homie'.
